With StudySmarter, you can easily add mathematical formulas to your flashcards using the MathType feature in the Web App. This allows you to create customized flashcards tailored to your learning needs.
How do I add math formulas to my flashcards?

Go to your library.

Select an existing set or create a new one by clicking on “+ Create New Set.”

Click the “+” / “+ Add Materials” button in the bottom left corner.

Choose the option “Manually create flashcards.”

This will open the Flashcard Editor, where you can first enter the question and then the answer for your flashcard.

Click on the three dots to access additional formatting options.

Select the square root symbol “√x” to open the MathType feature.

The MathType window will appear. At the top of the window, you’ll see a wide selection of mathematical symbols and characters.

The toolbar is divided into categories and works like a virtual keyboard.

Simply click on any symbol or character to insert it into the text field below.

Enter the desired mathematical formula in the text field.

Click “Insert” in the bottom-left corner to add the formula to the question or answer field of your flashcard.

Your flashcard will be saved automatically when you exit the editor.
Important Note
- The MathType feature is only available in the Web App.
