StudySmarter allows you to decide how you would like to share your flashcards. Therefore, you can choose how you want to share each flashcard. Please remember that you also benefit from millions of shared flashcards and can significantly help other users by sharing your flashcards.
The settings for the visibility of your flashcards are divided into three options. You can choose between:
- Public: Your flashcard is visible to all StudySmarter users, but only you can edit it.
- Collaborators: Your flashcard is only visible to you and the collaborators of your study group. However, you are the only one who retains the editing rights.
- Private: Your flashcard is only visible to you.
After creating your flashcards, you can adjust the visibility of the flashcards at any time. This means that your decision is not forever, and you can adjust the setting whenever you want. Do you want to adjust the visibility of your flashcards?
Adjust visibility for flashcards (Web App)
- Go to the set with the corresponding flashcards.
- Click on the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Now you should be able to select "Edit flashcards".
- If you want to adjust all your flashcards, you can now click on "Select all". If you would only like to adjust the visibility for individual flashcards, you can select them individually.
- You can now click on "Change visibility" to edit the permission for all the selected flashcards.
- The last step is to confirm the setting by clicking on "Change visibility for X flashcards".
Adjust visibility for flashcards (Mobile App)
- Go to the set with the corresponding flashcards.
- Now click on "Select".
- If you want to adjust all your flashcards, you can now click on "Select all". If you would only like to adjust the visibility for individual flashcards, you can select them individually.
- You can now tap on "Change visibility" to edit the permission for all the selected flashcards in one step, and the setting will be applied directly.
